Stakeholder Meeting that Africa Advocacy Foundation organised on 12th March 2019

Africa Advocacy Foundation (AAF) is an NGO established in 1996 based in the UK. The organization delivers health programmes in the UK and across the EU/EEA and parts of Africa. We work to enhance spaces for strategic advocacy, policy influence, and resource mobilization on the health programmes within the UK, across Europe and in Africa. Our current focus is on sexual and reproductive health, especially as it relates to safeguarding the rights of women and girls.

The meeting brings together key stakeholders including civil society organizations, local government, academia, development partners, the media, faith and community leaders and the youth to discuss and share learning specifically on current education, health and social programmes for young women and girls in Kisumu, Homabay, Siaya, Migori and Kisii Counties.

We look to engage with all stakeholders to understand the current provision, opportunities, challenges and gaps that need to be addressed. We will be hosting the one-day event to begin a conversation on sexual and reproductive health focusing on women and girls in the era of Universal Health Coverage. Our aim is to provide opportunities to Think Global and Act Local on Health Care matters.

We also hope this event can be a springboard for new partnerships that can advance the sexual and reproductive health rights of girls and young women.
